Tourist Visa from Equatorial Guinea to Greece Description
The tourist visa is a short-stay Schengen visa that is issued to foreign nationals who intend to travel to Greece for tourism, sightseeing, visiting family and friends or other recreational activities.
You are required to submit an accurately filled and signed visa application form. You may download the application form online and fill it out or fill it online then print it out.
Two clear, colour passport-size photographs(3.5 x 4.5 cm), taken with a white background, should be sent with your completed application form. The photos must clearly show your face and meet the photo requirements for a Greece visa.
You must provide proof that you can finance your trip for the entire duration of your stay in Greece. You could prove this by sending copies of your bank account statements from the last 6 months or any other financial document that can show financial solvency.
The financial document should show that you can comfortably spend €50 per day(or a minimum total of €300 for a stay of up to 5 days). Minors may show that they can afford €150 for a stay of up to 5 days.
You are required to show proof of secured hotel or private accommodation in Greece for the entire duration of your stay in the country.
If you are visiting family members or friends residing in Greece, you are required to submit a letter of invitation from them stating their contact details(name, home address and phone number).
The letter should also state the purpose of your travel, the relationship between you and your host, the duration of your stay, and indicate who is covering the costs of your travel.
You must also submit a copy of your valid travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros for Greece and the entire Schengen area, to cover any emergency medical treatment.
A cover letter stating the purpose of your visit, places you plan to visit during your stay in Greece, and the time for each travel should be submitted.
For proof of employment status:
If you are an employee, you are to provide proof of their employment in the form of an employment contract, current bank statements of the latest six months and an Income Tax Return(ITR).
If you are self-employed, you should submit proof of business certification such as the Business Licence and the company's certified bank account statements for the last three months.
If you are a student, you must provide proof of enrollment and leave approval from their school or university.
If you are retired, you should provide documents that prove that you are receiving a pension or other financial support.
You are expected to submit your application in person as your biometric data will be collected at the point of submission.
While this visa allows its holder to enter Greece and other countries in the Schengen Area, it does not permit them to take up paid or unpaid employment in the Area.
You are advised to check that all necessary documents and copies are sent along with your completed visa application form as any missing document could delay the processing of your visa application.
Minors travelling to Greece should present the original copy of their birth certificate, copy of both parents’ ID cards and passports and an original consent letter from both parents if the minor is travelling alone, or from the parent that is not travelling with the child.
The short-stay Schengen visa also allows its holder to get medical treatment in Greece.
A local medical report from your doctor must be presented.
You must also submit a medical attestation from the hospital or doctor in Greece, confirming the date of your appointment and the medical condition you are travelling to get treated for.
Proof of payment of your medical fees is also required.

Valid passport or travel documents with a minimum validity of 3 months beyond departure date from Greece. Passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
Copies of previous visas in your passport.
Valid travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 within Greece and the entire Schengen area.
Cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Greece.
Copy of a roundtrip flight ticket or confirmed travel itinerary, showing dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Greece.
Proof of accommodation(e.g. hotel reservation) for the entire duration of stay in Greece.
Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Greece.
Proof of payment of the visa fee. €60 for adults and €35 for children between 6 and 12 years.
Greece currently has no embassy in Equatorial Guinea. Applicants are to visit the Spanish embassy in Malabo to process their entry visa to Greece.
