Student Visa from Equatorial Guinea to Greece Description
Foreign nationals who want to travel to Greece to study for more than 3 months require a national long-stay visa and a residence permit.
Before you can apply for a student visa, you must have been offered admission to study in a Greek education institute.
You will need to present a letter of admission issued by an education institute in Greece stating the course you have been admitted to study and the duration of the course.
A fully completed and signed application form for a Greece national visa along with a recent colour passport-size photograph(that meets the photo requirements for a Greece visa) must be submitted.
An original passport or travel document that is valid for entry into Greece and with a minimum validity of 3 months from your departure date from Greece. The passport must also have at least 2 unused visa pages.
You are required to show proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros for at least the duration of your visa, in case of urgent medical treatment or repatriation for medical reasons.
Your passport or travel document must have been issued within the last 10 years.
You must provide evidence of adequate income to meet your study and subsistence costs(i.e. prove that you have at least 400 euros to spend per month). You may prove this by a deposit account, bank transfer or a scholarship. You may also show proof of salary in case you are employed part-time but this could only be shown after the renewal of your residence permit.
Minors are required to provide a document confirming parental consent. This could be a letter of authorisation signed by both parents or guardians.
You must show sufficient knowledge of the Greek language if it is a requirement for your chosen course of study. The relevant education establishment will make the necessary checks and issue the corresponding certificate, which will be presented to the competent Greek Consular Authority.
Criminal record certificate issued by the appropriate authority in your country stating that you have no criminal record must be provided.
You must also provide a medical certificate, issued by a recognised state or government institution, showing that you do not suffer from a disease that could be a risk to public health.
You are required to show proof of payment of the visa fee(90 euros).
You are required to apply for a residence permit for studies once you arrive in Greece. The following must be submitted to obtain a residence permit:
A certificate proving registration and payment of your tuition fees.
Evidence of adequate income to cover study and other living expenses in Greece(at least 400 euros per month).
Letter of consent from parents/guardians.
Completed and signed residence permit application form.
Residence permit fee(150 euros).

Copies of previous visas in your passport.
Valid travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 within Greece and the entire Schengen area.
Cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Greece.
Copy of a roundtrip flight ticket or confirmed travel itinerary, showing dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Greece.
Proof of accommodation(e.g. hotel reservation) for the entire duration of stay in Greece.
Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Greece.
Proof of payment of the visa fee. €60 for adults and €35 for children between 6 and 12 years.
Greece currently has no embassy in Equatorial Guinea. Applicants are to visit the Spanish embassy in Malabo to process their entry visa to Greece.
