  • Foreign citizens are required to obtain a student visa if they intend to travel to Morocco to study.
  • An applicant for a student visa must have received an admission offer from a Moroccan public university or higher education institute as you are required to submit your certificate of enrollment.
  • If you will be studying on scholarship, a certificate of scholarship granted by the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) or any other official organisation financing your study.
  • If you will be studying at a private university, you must also provide a certificate of enrollment from the university. Also, your visa request must be subjected to the preliminary approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (unless you are enrolled at Major Moroccan schools, approved by the proper Moroccan authority).
  • You are required to provide documents proving sufficient financial means for the period of your studies in Morocco.
  • A foreign national travelling to Morocco to study must show that they will have care provided by a close relative or a guarantor who resides in Morocco. The care provider should duly sign a legalised document attesting to this.
  • This document should state the following:
    • The guarantor regularly resides in Morocco and will provide the student with accommodation financial help.
    • Commitment by the guarantor to adjust the student's residence status, with the competent authority at the General Directorate of National Security.
    • Commitment to cover the repatriation costs in case the student is expelled from the Moroccan territory.
    • Commitment to leave the territory of Morocco as soon as the validity of the residence permit expires.
  • proof of payment of the visa processing fee is required.
  • This entry visa permits you to stay in Morocco for up to 90 days. To stay longer for your studies, you should request permission to extend the duration of your stay at the nearest police precinct to your resident in Morocco.
